Why Politics are a Joke

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

Hillary Clinton is going to be our next Secretary of State. But earlier this year, she was under qualified for such a position, according to Obama, because of the campaign race and all. But now, in November, she’s all of a sudden “good enough”?

This article has a good point.

"What exactly is this foreign policy experience?" Obama said mockingly of the New York senator. "Was she negotiating treaties? Was she handling crises? The answer is no."

That was in March, when Clinton was Obama’s sole remaining rival for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Now, Clinton is on track to become Obama’s secretary of state.

And, unsurprisingly, the sniping at her foreign policy credentials is a thing of the past.

Feds warn of terror plotting against NYC subways

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

WASHINGTON – Federal authorities are warning law enforcement personnel of a possible terror plot against the New York City subway and train systems during the holiday season, and police are beefing up security in preparation.

Interesting and scary. Another terrorist attack on U.S. soil? I hope and pray no.

Brave New World

1:58 PM Matt: Some of the great books ever written were created because of the author’s boredom.

1:59 PM me: like Brave New World?

2:00 PM Matt: Brave New World was written during an heroine trip, but I’d imagine the author was bored when he decided to shoot up.

This made me laugh…

Gmail’s New Look

Friday, November 21st, 2008

My inbox is looking pretty sweet.

image

So I checked my email this morning, and saw that Gmail (Google’s version of email, for all of you that don’t know it…) has a new feature called themes. It’s pretty impressive, works well, and is nice on the eyes. There are about thirty of them, including color schemes and picture ones like this.

P.S. – Leah and I are back together. We left for Australia a few hours ago.

(Yeah, I wish…)

Leah

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

In my last two classes of the day, there is Leah Crow. Once married, we are now separated due to infidelities on both sides of the relationship.

Not really. We’re not even really dating. I just wrote this post upon Leah’s request.

I’m writing this post here at school. It’s nice being a senior, and I can’t wait to graduate early. My last day is January 21st. Cheers!

What to write about?

SANY0330

Well, how about how fast the time has gone by?

It is now the middle of November. Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away, I have had a job for the last month, and I’m off today.

I’ve been using a pre-release of Microsoft Windows 7 for the last few weeks. There are some useful improvements, including a new taskbar. However, I have switched back to Vista for the sake of a working, stable, non-beta OS. (And 6801 of 7 is stable, but I always have Aero issues that are rather annoying as windows open and close…)

My aunt and cousins have been in town for the last week. We’ve been having a great time. Between going to Wal-Mart and Oglebay, it’s been pretty exciting.

Leave some comments so I know you read this!
